KELSEY & MICHAEL

DEC52020

The day we met.

THE STORY OF US

December of ’20 — the start of it all,
A season of chance that began with a call.
A birthday for William, at Pico’s — can’t miss!
Things turned into magic, too perfect to twist!

The plans nearly faltered, the party? Unsure!
But Kelsey stood firm — her resolve would endure!
The birthday would happen, no matter the test,
What came from that day? Well, only the best!

The guest list expanded, the invites got wide,
Michael showed up with friends right by his side.
Through Richie, then Andrew, he made it on through,
A hopeful demeanor, the mustache debut!!

Margs were flowing, large group at the table,
Kelsey up front, Michael distant but stable.
Some banter flew lightly, a spark from afar?!
Two strangers, big table, one lovely memoir.

Pico’s, our first stop, was only the start,
The day rolled ahead with a full, beating heart.
Intros were made, small talk began,
And slowly but surely, charm took its stand.

The group got smaller, the night carried on,
The laughter grew louder, the daylight was gone!
Amidst conversations both lively and sweet,
Michael found some courage, a plan so discreet.

A napkin was grabbed, her number was scored,
A moment so small — but one they’d adore.
“How ’bout Monday? Why should we wait?”
A first date was planned, it felt like fate!

December the Seventh — a feeling just right,
A high-top at Mastro’s, stars up in the night!
No carriage, no horses, no glass slippers on —
But something had started, started to dawn!

Winter on White Oak, Augusta come Spring,
With Daisy between them, new memories to bring.
They laughed and they loved, they settled right in,
Briefly as neighbors, new chapters begin!

Through weekends and brunches and holidays shared,
Each new little moment said, “Look — we both care.”
The calm kind of love, the gentle, the true,
The one that surprises but somehow they knew.

Four years later — the very same day,
Michael had something he wanted to say.
In New York City, beneath a bright tree,
He knelt with a ring, “Will you marry me?

”Kelsey said Yes! — with a kiss and a tear,
The sweetest of endings to close out the year.
Now here we all are, with hearts open wide,
Ready to witness two worlds coincide.

So mark your calendars, come toast and cheer —
Because the day we say “I do” is finally near!
